About Us

For hundreds of years the techniques used to make a handmade violin have remained unchanged. At Ross Violins, we believe in retaining that tradition.

We are Ben and Kate Ross, both trained as violin makers and repairers at The Newark School of Violin Making, where we studied the craft of violin, cello and viola making and repair under some of the leading professionals in the field.

When not restoring older instruments we continue to make new and are constantly honing our making skills, striving to achieve 'the perfect instrument'.
